Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce at Government Arts and Science College, Nadapuram, was established in 2014, the same year the college commenced its academic journey. Since its inception, the department has been committed to providing quality education in commerce, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the demands of the dynamic business world.

The department offers a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) program with a specialisation in Computer Applications, combining core commerce subjects with essential computing knowledge to prepare students for careers in accounting, finance, business, and technology-integrated sectors.

With a total student strength of around 170, the department continues to grow steadily, fostering academic excellence, practical competence, and ethical values among its learners. Through a blend of classroom instruction, co-curricular activities, and industry interactions, the Department of Commerce aims to nurture competent professionals and responsible citizens.
